Yesterday, we learned that a release date—November 16—had been set for the release of Crytek's anticipated first-person shooter Crysis. As it turns out, a fairly specific release time frame for Splash Damage and id Software's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars was also outed late yesterday.
Shacknews has the skinny over here. The site reports that Activision, in its first fiscal quarter financial results announcement conference call, said it expects Quake Wars to be out "in either the last week of its fiscal second quarter . . . or at the beginning of its third quarter." That puts the release some time either at the end of September or in October. The game should therefore roll out before Unreal Tournament 3, which is scheduled for November.
