Y2k bug swallows another New Year's concert

Once more, a big-name "millennium" event has been canceled. (See our previous story.) Like last time, ticket sales were poor. Also as before, ticket prices were just a tad high:

Celebration 2000 was supposed to star a multitude of famous names, including Andrea Bocelli, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Enrique Iglesias, and Tom Jones. Tickets prices started out at $1,000 and went up to $2,500.
$2,500 for a concert! So the question is: did people decide to opt out because of Y2K fears or because of 401K fears?
Tip: You can use the A/Z keys to walk threads.
