Macs get Napster

— 12:45 AM on November 2, 2000

...just in time to pay for it. Yep, the long-awaited Macintosh version of Napster is finally available, proving once again that advanced PC technology will eventually make it to the Macintosh. Up next for the Mac: a multitasking microkernel and a two-button mouse, if the rumors are to be believed.

Of course, Mac types are accustomed to coughing up $60 for something as simple as a mouse, so paying a monthly fee for Napster services ought not to bother 'em.
