Radeon HD 4830 review updated

— 11:12 AM on October 27, 2008

Because the original Radeon HD 4830 card AMD sent to us was gimpy, with only seven of its eight SIMD arrays and texture units enabled, we've re-tested the card with a new BIOS that enabled all of the proper portions of the GPU.  The new test results for the Radeon HD 4830 have now been incorporated into our updated review, with minor performance gains across the board for the 4830 and only 1W more power draw under load.  As I've said in a note at the end of the revised article, these new test results don't really change our overall impression of the product, which was already positive.
