Dennis Ritchie home page

— 2:13 PM on December 17, 2000

Came across this story at ASCII24. Dennis M. Ritchie is a man who needs no introduction to those involved with computers. Alright, this is the UNIX pioneer, the inventor of the C language, and the winner of the Turing Award among other things. Today, you can find him at Lucent Technologies where he has made some contributions to the Open Source Plan 9 system. He recently spoke about "Themes in Operating Systems Research" as part of Bell Labs' Technology Seminar which led me to his home page. In addition to a listing of his various accomplishments and biographical information, it is an informative source of archival and technical reference material. Makes for a good Sunday read.
