The Benchmarking Sweatshop is humming with the sound of hard drive and motherboard testing, but that's not all. One of Asus' new CULV-based notebooks arrived this morning, and I couldn't resist busting it out for a quick photo session. The model in question is the UL30A-A1, which has a MSRP of $800 and features a dual-core Core 2 Duo SU7300 ticking along at 1.3GHz processor, 4GB of memory, Intel integrated graphics, a 500GB hard drive, a 13.3" display with 1366x786 resolution, and an eight-cell battery with a claimed 12 hours of run time. We'll have a full review of this system in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, here are a few photos of the unit to whet your appetite:

The UL30A-A1 has a brushed aluminum top panel. Sexy.

HDMI output? Check

Gigabit Ethernet, with Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi for good measure

The UL30 opens up

Chiclets, anyone?

12 hours might be a bit ambitious, but this battery has two more cells than its rivals
