Schmidt the Cookie Monster comes up empty

— 10:26 PM on December 5, 1999

Wow, I feel all warm and fuzzy. ZDNet posted this article downplaying the likelihood that Novell CEO Eric Schmidt's credit card number was stolen from a cookie. They point out that it's more likely that his credit card number was stolen by a waiter or a store clerk. Schmidt of course was unavailable for comment as to how he thought a cookie was responsible for his stolen card number.
