ATA 100 performance considerations

Real World Technologies asks if ATA-100 is any better than ATA-66 in an article entitled "ATA/100: real performance or marketing hype?" The results can be found here; do you agree?

OCworkbench has uncovered a bit more on the different markings that are found on various incarnations of the VIA South Bridge. They report that the 686B South Bridge manufactured from week 50 or later allows for faster FSB speeds.

Another build of MS Whistler has been released. SuperSite for Windows has nine new screenshots of build 2416 and an updated FAQ. According to WinInfo, Office 10 RC1 will be "coming soon".

Update: chinchia tells me that it is the North Bridge, not the South Bridge.
