Fans of BioShock will be able to get their hands on the sequel very early on launch day, so long as they're willing to head to a physical store. 2K Games has announced that "more than 2,500 GameStop and Best Buy stores" will start selling BioShock 2 as soon as the clock strikes midnight on February 9.
To drum up excitement for the upcoming launch, 2K has also released a new three-minute trailer, which premiered last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The video has made its way onto YouTube, and you can watch it below:
Much like some of the trailers for the original BioShock, this one doesn't look to have any in-game content—just pre-scripted (and perhaps pre-rendered) first-person action. Still, it's a fun watch that sets the stage for the sequel nicely.
You can also grab BioShock 2 through Steam, although in that case, Valve says the game will unlock about six days and seven hours from now. If my math is right, that'll be around 4:00 PM Central Time on February 9, well after the midnight launch. (Thanks to Shacknews and Joystiq for the tips.)
