Comparing penguins

Was cruising /. this morning and noticed this interesting comparison of the Linux 2.2 and 2.4 kernels. Something to look at for sure if you're already a Linux user, or are thinking of taking the plunge sometime in the future. Looks like the overall performance of the new Kernel is better, and with the hardware tested it barely lags a Win2k system in Quake III - pretty impressive if you ask me. For all the newbies there's also a nice set of instructions on how to get and compile 2.4.
