Nvidia almost seems to be turning into crazy Jen-Hsun's discount GPU warehouse lately. Last week, we saw the company discount its GeForce GTX 460 with a meaty price cut, bringing the 768MB model down to just $170. This week, it's the GeForce GTS 450's turn.
Newegg currently carries a Palit GeForce GTS 450 for $119.99 with free shipping... and $99.99 after a mail-in rebate (offered only until the 19th). Considering this card launched earlier this week with a $130 suggested retail price, a hundred bucks after rebate sounds pretty good to me.
Bargain hunters might be happier if the card's third display output was DVI instead of VGA, but the card does have an HDMI output, too. If you check out our review, you'll see that the GTS 450 isn't the fastest card in the world, but that it still packs more than enough punch to handle games like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at 1440x900 with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering cranked up.
