Bluetooth may be coming to a hotel near you this summer.
Luxury hotels will begin testing Bluetooth services this summer, thanks to a partnership between Classwave Wireless Inc. and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc.Sure would be nice if this turns out to be the wireless solution that we have been waiting for.
Starwood owns 725 hotel and leisure properties, including popular luxury franchises like Sheraton, Westin, Four Points by Sheraton, and W. Through their alliance with Classwave, a Bluetooth network-infrastructure provider, the hotelier hopes to offer guests wireless registration and personalized information as well as access to the Internet and e-mail.
