This drive normally retails for around $74.99, but Newegg has it on sale right now for an inviting $59.99 with free shipping. Not bad for an Editor's Choice winner, huh? Longer warranties are available from Western Digital's Caviar Black line, but we're not too fond of the tradeoffs: inferior overall desktop performance and higher noise levels.The Spinpoint F3 is an exceedingly well-rounded choice for use as a desktop PC's system drive.
Western Digital fans might like our next deal, though. Newegg currently offers a 2TB Caviar Green with a free Rosewill USB 2.0 docking station for $99.98 shipped. The bundle includes the newest version of the Green, which uses Advanced Format and has a 64MB cache. As for the docking station, it normally costs $20.99 and features USB 2.0 connectivity as well as support for both 3.5" and 2.5" hard drives. Fun fact: the Caviar Green actually costs a penny more on its own—$99.99.
