Thanks to Steam, PC gamers have been treated to some delightful game discounts of late. Valve's content delivery service rarely puts fresh releases on sale, though. With that in mind, we couldn't resist pimping Amazon's Deal of the Day. While supplies last and for today only, Dead Space 2 is available for just $40, which is 33% off the usual asking price. That link is for the PC version of the game, but you can get the same price on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases.
Dead Space 2 was released just over a week ago, so it's definitely fresh. I played a little of the PS3 version at a friend's place this weekend, and it looks and feels very much like the original, which I quite enjoyed. There's something about the game's eerie environments and tension-filled gameplay that resonates with me. Plus, stomping dead bodies never seems to get old.
