HP lets you grab the Pavilion dm1z for $399.99

It's a bit early for a deal-of-the-week post, but no matter—a bargain is a bargain, and deals like this don't come up all that often. As PC World reports, HP is letting folks grab its Pavilion dm1z ultraportable laptop for only $399.99 with free shipping, down from the usual $449.99. That's awfully cheap for a TR Editor's Choice award-winning system with an AMD Zacate processor and such excellent build quality.

To save the 50 bucks, all you need to do is head through to the Pavilion dm1z product page, click "customize and buy," add the machine to your virtual shopping cart, then enter the coupon code "NB5751" on the checkout page. The price should update automatically.

That price tag applies to the exact same system we reviewed, which features a 1.6GHz AMD E-350 chip, Radeon HD 6310 integrated graphics, 3GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB 7,200-RPM hard drive, Bluetooth 3.0, and a six-cell, 55-Wh battery. I already thought the dm1z was a sweet deal at $450, but at $400, it's even better.
