Asus' Eee Pad Transformer has gained quite a following—in June, the device was said to be the second most-popular tablet after Apple's iPad. Well, Asus has more tablets up its sleeve. One of those is the Eee Pad Slider, which Liliputing says is finally scheduled to hit stores later this month.
Unlike the Transformer, which is a regular tablet with an optional (and detachable) keyboard accessory, the Slider has a keyboard built right in. You're supposed to slide the display forward to access it, as demonstrated in this video by Liliputing's Brad Linder:
Just like the Transformer, the Slider has a 10.1" 1280x800 display and an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. The Slider is more expensive, though. Early listings for the device suggest the 16GB version of the Slider will be priced at $479, while the 32GB model will cost $579. 16GB and 32GB versions of the Transformer currently retail for $393.69 and $468.98, respectively.
