Bad news: you'll have to wait a few more weeks to reprise the role of Max Payne. As Rock, Paper, Shotgun reports, the third installment in the series has been postponed from April to May.
The game will now hit consoles on May 15, and the Windows version has been pushed back all the way to May 29. That's in the United States, mind you. In Europe and the rest of the world, RPS laments that Max Payne 3 won't be out until May 18 and June 1 for consoles and Windows, respectively.
Take 2 doesn't provide much of an explanation for the delay. RPS quotes Take 2 CEO Strauss Zelnick as saying, "We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company."
Too bad PC gamers are once again being treated like second-class, er, gamers. Here's hoping Take 2 will make the slight delay worthwhile by keeping the PC version's consolitis in check.
