Ars Technica on digital photography

Given what Ars Technica meant to the doctors, we probably don't do a good job of linking them around here. Well, they have written an orientation to digital photography. Here is a bit from the introduction.

Is digital for you? The prices on digital cameras is dropping all the time, you may be wondering this question. To be sure, it's one of the most popular topics in the Ars' A/V forum. Many people feel that digital photography has "come of age." Digital point and shoot cameras are now price-competitive with 35mm film point and shoots, and cost less in photo developing.
