About ready to call it a day and head home to your gaming PC? Well, you may want to grab the new Catalyst 13.3 beta drivers first. AMD just released them this afternoon, and it promises performance improvements, including frame latency optimizations, for Radeon graphics cards. Here are the official feature highlights:

  • Improve performance in Sim City 5 up to 16 percent
  • Improves performance in Far Cry 3 up to 5 percent
  • Improves latency performance issues seen in Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution
  • Resolves slight corruption seen in Tomb Raider with TressFX enabled for CrossFire and single GPU configurations
  • Scott, our Editor in Chief, is hard at work testing the latency improvements in these drivers, and he should have some numbers to share with you soon. Stay tuned! For now, you can grab the Catalyst 13.3 betas here for Windows 8, 7, and Vista in either 32-bit or 64-bit flavors.
