Borderlands 2 is pretty awesome. It's easily one of the best games of 2012, and it's still being updated with new DLC. Several enhancements are planned for May, including a new playable character with a penchant for brutal melee attacks. Say hello to Krieg the Psycho:
The teaser reveals little about the character apart from his more personal brand of violence. According to Rock, Paper, Shotgun, you'll need to shell out $10 for the privilege of bludgeoning your enemies. Even folks who have signed up for the Borderlands 2 DLC Season Pass will have to pay for the character, which isn't terribly surprising. The game's other alternate character, the controversial Mecromancer, is also separate from the Season Pass.
While DLC subscribers won't get Krieg for free, they will get an increase in the level cap from 50 to 61. The higher level cap will reportedly cost five bucks on its own, and the official Gearbox Twitter mentions the addition of a third playthrough and other enhancements. Surely, there will be more guns to collect obsessively.
