Deal of the week: A GTX 660 for $169, an IPS monitor for $153, and more

We'll keep our deal 'o the week post short and sweet this week. We've got two hardware deals and two gaming deals for you all to enjoy. Let's start with the hardware:

  • Asus' GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II graphics card is down to $188.99 at Newegg, provided you enter the promo code "EMCXSXV42" on the checkout page. You can lop off an extra $20 with a mail-in rebate. Net cost: $168.99. That's incredibly affordable for a card of that caliber—and shipping is free.
  • Viewsonic's VX2370SMH-LED monitor, which has a 23", 1080p, IPS panel, is down to $152.99 shipped at Amazon. The display has DVI, HDMI, and VGA inputs, and its viewing angles are typical of IPS panels—178°, both vertical and horizontal. User reviews are largely positive, as well.

And now for the gaming deals:

  • Amazon is letting folks grab Borderlands 2 and the Borderlands 2 Season Pass (in downloadable form) for $24.99 combined—72% cheaper than the list price. You can also nab the game by itself for $19.99 and the Season Pass by itself for $9.99. This deal is only available today, so don't wait too long.
  • Finally, Dead Island is down to $4.99 at Amazon. Again, that's for a downloadable copy of the game.

Oh, and before we go, we'll invite our Canadian readers to peruse NCIX's latest sale. The Time-to-Upgrade Sale Event includes a number of solid bargains, like a 2TB Seagate hard drive for $89.99 CAD and a 23" IPS monitor from LG for $159.99 CAD.

(Thanks to SlickDeals for the promo code on that Asus card.)
