Poll time

— 2:12 PM on May 21, 2001

Another week, another poll. Before we jump into this week's topic, let's take a look at last week's results, which are pretty clear. Subscription-based OSes are going to be a hard sell for Microsoft. 60% of those polled think that subscription-based OSes are unreasonable, regardless of their price. Some, however, don't have a problem with subscription services, if they fall into a certain price range. 24% of those polled would find a subscription reasonable if it was between 0 and 20% of the full price, with 13% being able to handle a price between 20 and 40% of the retail price.

This week's topic is a product of E3 and its focus on the next-generation gaming consoles. The holiday shopping season is where consoles make their mark, and we want to know who you think will win the console war this year.

Which console will dominate this year's holiday season?
Of course, consoles might not be your thing, and we've got options in there for you as well. Come on, it's not like you have anything better to do for the next five seconds. Go vote.
