Perfection...the Palm IIIc Color

— 2:41 PM on December 22, 1999

This is important, if only for the coolness factor. This CNET article discusses the scheduled February relase of the first color Palm PDA. I love my Palm V, but I can't wait. There are concerns about a color Palm, some of which have been voiced all along:

A color device from the soon-to-be independent 3Com subsidiary has been long-awaited by handheld computing enthusiasts. But Palm executives have repeatedly cited the technology constraints imposed by including color displays, including drains on battery life, bulky designs and high costs, promising that the company would not release a product before these issues were resolved.
Admittedly, I'm not sure how much more functional a color version would be...but I'm sure the games would function better. The article indicates that Palm currently holds about 75% of the handheld market.
