After all the hardware we've given away this summer, you'd think the well would have run dry by now. But no, we have more goodies for TR readers. The prize package for our latest contest includes not only a hot-clocked MSI GeForce GTX 760, but also a kilowatt Corsair PSU.
We reviewed the GeForce 760 GTX a couple of months ago and were impressed with its ability to run games smoothly at the relatively high 2560x1440 resolution typical of 27" monitors. This particular MSI model sells for $260 and boasts higher GPU speeds than Nvidia's defaults. The base clock has been cranked from 980 to 1085MHz, and the boost clock is up from 1130 to 1150MHz. A custom heatsink with dual 100-mm fans and loads of heatpipes keeps the GPU cool. MSI has added software for overclocking, profile management, and video capture, too. And there's a download code for Metro: Last Light on top of that.
In addition to the graphics card, our lucky winner will receive Corsair's Professional Series HX1050 PSU. This $220 monster has 80 Plus Gold certification, a seven-year warranty, and the ability to push 1050W on the 12V rail alone. Like all good enthusiast PSUs, the HX1050 has modular cables. Corsair has certified the unit for use with Intel's latest Haswell CPUs, as well.
Our prize package is worth nearly $500, and entering for a chance to win it is pretty straightforward. Here's how you do it:
(The last three parts are completely optional, but they won't hurt. We promise.)
Rules and regulations
Sorry, but this contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada (except Quebec) only.
Only one entry allowed per person, household, or e-mail address. Multiple entries per person, household or address are not permitted. Please don't try to game the system by entering your girlfriend, wife, kids or pets. We'll probably disqualify you if you do.
We will be accepting giveaway entries between the time this post goes up and September 9, 2013 at noon CDT. We'll then choose our winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries. The winner will be announced on the site on September 10 and will also be notified via e-mail. The winner must claim his prize within 72 hours, or he will forfeit his prize and we will draw a new winner.
You must include your full name, a valid email address, and a physical shipping address with your entry. Only the winner's name will be announced on the site. We will not share the address or other personal information with our sponsors or anyone else. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. TR reserves the right to disqualify entries that appear to be attempts to game the system or circumvent the rules in any way.
The staff of The Tech Report and their immediate families may not enter the giveaway and are not eligible to win.
We will accept entries only from residents of the United States and Canada (Quebec excepted). No purchase is necessary. This giveaway is void where prohibited by law. TR, MSI, and Corsair are not responsible for any taxes on the prize, damage in shipping, damage caused by using the prize with other products, or health issues such as repetitive strain injury, eye strain, or chemical addictions that may result from prolonged use of the prize. We may answer questions and offer clarifications of the rules in this comments thread.
