Deal of the week: Discounted graphics cards and a $70 Android 4.1 tablet
This week's deal o' the week post is short and sweet. We've got two steeply discounted graphics cards and one suspiciously cheap Android 4.1 tablet:
- Sapphire's Radeon HD 7950 Boost 3GB is down to $199.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate at Newegg. This stock-clocked card has a beefy-looking dual-fan cooler, and it comes with a choice of three free games, thanks to AMD's Never Settle Forever promo.
- EVGA's GeForce GTX 660 2GB is just $169.99 once you factor in a $10-off promo code (EMCXLVN34) and a $20 mail-in rebate. The card runs at reference speeds, and it comes with one free game: Batman Arkham Origins. That game will be released on October 25, which makes it quite a bit newer than any of the titles in AMD's Never Settle Forever bundle.
- Newegg also sells a 7" Avatar tablet with Android 4.1 for $69.99 after a $20-off promo code (EMCXLVN45). This contraption is powered by a single-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, and it has a 1024x600 screen, a 2-megapixel rear camera, a 0.3-megapixel front camera, a Mini HDMI port, and 4GB of storage capacity. I'm sure it doesn't hold a candle even to the newly discounted Kindle Fire HD, but hey, it's half the price. It'd probably make a great tablet for kids.
That's all for our U.S. deals. North of the border, NCIX's Face-Off Sale Event is underway, and our Canadian readers are invited to partake. Deals include a 3TB WD Caviar Green for $119.99 CAD and a 120GB Kingston SSDNow V300 for $88.99 CAD.
