As part of its E3 press conference, Ubisoft previewed the next release in the long-running Far Cry series: Far Cry 4. Attendees were treated to footage of the first five minutes of the game, which introduce the primary antagonist, Pagan Min. Take a look. (Warning: strong language included.)
Ubisoft also released a gameplay walkthrough video that introduces us to the mountainous environment of Kyrat, which will have an extensive focus on verticality:
Attacks on the player character can now occur from above and below, and equipment such as a grappling hook and a wingsuit allows players to make the most of the differences in elevation. In keeping with previous Far Cry games, Kyrat will be an open-world environment. We're also told to expect seamless switching between cooperative and single-player gameplay.
Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18 for Windows as well as the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
