Behind AnandTech: a server upgrade

AnandTech has performed another server upgrade, which you can read about here. Ostensibly, it's just another in their series of server upgrade writeups, but this installment is notable because they deploy an AMD 760 MP server. Networking gurus should take note—they discuss the inherent difficulties (ie. heat, cooling, power, etc.) of fitting the Tyan Thunder K7 into a 1U rackmount case. The solution? The APPRO 1124. In fact, this article reads like a review. Needless to say, they walk away pleased. Now, given our server issues, if only TR could run on this thing...
