Desktop Tualatin no more?

— 12:14 PM on August 10, 2001

According to The Inquirer, the desktop version of Intel's Tualatin processor has vanished from roadmaps. If true, this is a rather abrupt move, especially considering Damage had a Tualatin in house just a little while ago.

It seems that Intel is so keen on hyping its SDRAM-based P4 desktop platform and Celeron processors that it's left the desktop Tualatin out in the cold. The processor's server and mobile incarnations will still make appearances, as the P4 has yet to be prepped for those environments.
