Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is due out on November 4, and the minimum system requirements have appeared on Steam. In some respects, they're not too demanding; any reasonably recent CPU and discrete graphics card should do. However, the new CoD demands at least 6GB of system memory and 55GB of storage capacity.
OS: OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
Processor: Intel® CoreTM i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD PhenomTM II X4 810 @ 2.80 GHz or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 @ 1GB / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 @ 1GB or better
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 55 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX-compatible
The last CoD game had a similar minimum memory spec, though it only called for 40GB of storage. Let's hope the extra 15GB has been devoted to higher quality art assets rather than, say, loads of uncompressed audio. The new "Gameplay Launch Trailer" certainly suggests Advanced Warfare is a visual feast:
Apparently, the "gameplay" involves brief snippets of action interspersed with over-the-top cutscenes. Sounds about right to me.
