Yesss. After more than four long years, Avalanche Studios has finally, formally announced Just Cause 3. Game Informer got the exclusive scoop on the game, which is due out next year for the PC, PS4, and Xbone, and the publication was kind enough to post a teaser on YouTube for all to enjoy:
The video suggests that the game has been in development for the past three years—and that players can look forward to same the tried-and-true sandbox formula from Just Cause 2, only refined and visually improved.
According to Game Informer, the game will be set in a "fictional Mediterranean archipelago" and will feature "vastly improved parachute and grapple mechanics." Players will get an "all-new wingsuit," too. While there were rumors of Just Cause 3 being a free-to-play deal, Avalanche has clarified that the game will be a "full price title" on all three platforms.
So, yeah, exciting stuff. Here's hoping Avalanche is shooting for a launch earlier rather than later in 2015.
