Deal of the week: An Asus monitor for $125, a 240GB SSD for $80, and more

Gift-wrapping season may be over, but consumerism knows no respite—and there are plenty of ways to indulge in that today. Let's start with the non-storage deals:

  • Asus' VS247H-P monitor is down from the usual $159.99 to just $124.99 after a $15-off promo code (EMCWHHD46) and a $20 mail-in rebate. This display has a 23.6" 1080p panel, 2-ms gray-to-gray response, 300 cd/m² luminosity, 170/160° viewing angles . . . and pretty laudatory user reviews.
  • Need a new PSU? Seasonic's M12II 620 Bronze power supply normally sells for $79.99, but you can nab it for $49.99 after a $20-off promo code (EMCWHHD34) and a $5 mail-in rebate. That's a steal for a fully modular unit with an 87% peak efficiency rating, 576W of 12V output power, and a five-year warranty.

Newegg also has a nice selection of SSDs and mechanical hard drives on sale today:

  • Intel's 530 Series 120GB SSD is $69.99 without any special codes or rebates. Cost per gig: 58 cents, which isn't bad at all considering Intel's warranty covers this thing for five years.
  • PNY's Optima 240GB SSD is $79.99 after a $10 mail-in rebate, which works out to an even juicier 33 cents per gig. That's about as good as it gets at this capacity, folks.
  • On the mechanical front, Newegg has a 3TB Toshiba 7,200-RPM hard drive on sale for $99.99 after a $15-off promo code (ESCWHHD26).
  • Finally, if Toshiba isn't up your alley, WD's Green 2TB is available for $79.99. That drive has more one-egg reviews than I'd like, but then again, so do all of the high-capacity options in this price range. Hmm. Good thing most storage controllers have RAID support these days.

That's about all I could find, but I'm sure I missed a few. Feel free to point out other discounts in the comments below. And don't forget to check out the latest Steam deals.
