ATI dropped a few hints to The Inquirer that the new drivers for its upcoming Radeons will beat the GeForce 3, even with the Detonator 4s.
We learned from ATI that the next revision of drivers is almost finished, and that we can expect that could actually be faster than Geforce 3, even with Detonator 4. Radeon 8500 architecture and chip and memory certainly have the potential to do that.Even with faster NVIDIA chips coming out, it would be a huge coup for ATI if they could get an 8500 beating a GeForce 3 in the same price range.
