Square Enix revealed the release date for Just Cause 3 at E3 today, alongside a trailer with enough explosions to make Michael Bay turn green with envy. Watch it below:
Like the previous titles, Just Cause 3 is as over-the-top as it gets, thanks to a new physics engine that can handle destructive chain reactions and every variety of explosion known to man. The game is set on the (fictional) Mediterranean island of Medici, where protagonist Rico Rodriguez must overthrow an evil dictatorial general. Sound familiar yet?
Several of Rodriguez's trademark tools have been upgraded to help players navigate the 400 square miles of in-game terrain. The beefed-up grapple hook can now sling lines between multiple objects at once, to destructive effect. The parachute now serves as a more solid mid-air attack platform, too. Add to that the huge selection of vehicles at your disposal, and you're set. Oh, and don't forget the wingsuit. You can never go wrong with those.
The game is set to be released December 1, and preorders are available here.
