We were treated to another snippet of EVE: Valkyrie's VR-infused gameplay at the PC Gaming Show last night, and it's pretty awesome-looking. Check out the video:
Oh boy. I have to get one of those VR headset thingies—and another GPU. Attendees were given a chance to prove their worth in the cockpit, too, and our lord commander Scott was quite moved:
Time to talk Eve Valkyrie and VR and OMG I played on Crystal Cove and Radeon Fury earlier OMG. pic.twitter.com/UXm757bHpz— Scott Wasson (@scottwasson) June 17, 2015
As you can see from the video, the game is a team-based space dogfighting affair set in the EVE Online universe. Players can choose from a multitude of ship classes for different combat roles, each with customizable loadouts. New ships and equipment can be unlocked by way of a rank progression system.
EVE: Valkyrie will support both the Oculus Rift and the PS4's Project Morpheus headsets. Oh, and if the voice in the video was familiar, yes, that's Katee "Starbuck" Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica fame.
