Project Cars is a favorite among TR editors, and the game has apparently achieved enough success to warrant a sequel already. Developer Slightly Mad Studios is kicking off a new crowd-sourced development and funding campaign for Project Cars 2 today through its World of Mass Development platform.
Slightly Mad has already set forth some goals for the new game, and they sound quite ambitious even when compared to the feature set of the original Project Cars. Version 2 is claimed to be shooting for 50 unique tracks and over 200 courses, eight different racing disciplines, co-op roles like teammate drivers and spotters, and (of course) over 200 cars in more than 40 different vehicle classes.
To find out more, or to add some money to the £7,000,000 (just north of $11 million at current exchange rates) funding target for Project Cars 2, head over to Slightly Mad Studios' portal for the game.
