Hold on to your hats. Acer just unleashed the XR341CK, a 34" 3440x1440 IPS monitor with FreeSync onboard. If this display looks a tad familiar, it's because a G-Sync version is already on the way to market for a September release.
This behemoth packs an IPS panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio, boasting 100% sRGB coverage and a 300 cd/m² maximum brightness spec. AMD's FreeSync tech provides a tear-free experience at a maximum refresh rate of 75 Hz. Acer claims a 4ms gray-to-gray response time.
This monitor packs several connectivity options: you get both Mini DisplayPort and DisplayPort, er, ports, as well as an HDMI 2.0 input. There's also a four-port USB 3.0 hub at the back, and even a DisplayPort output for daisy-chaining, along with a set of 7W speakers. The included stand features both tilt and height adjustments.
You can get your hands on this beastie in July for $1,099.
