The TR BBQ XII is coming on August 15, 2015, and you should consider coming out to join us. I just booked my travel, and the rates on everything were still pretty reasonable.
For the uninitiated, the TR BBQ is an epic, day-long event that we hold on the shores of Lake Michigan each year. Here's my report from last year that will give you a sense of things. We're talking good food, good company in the form of fellow TR readers, a hardware swap-meet, the traditional Sharing of Home- and Micro-Brews, fireworks, a beachside picnic, and more.
This year's event is once again at DrFish's lakeside cottage in Holland, Michigan. You can get info on how to attend, RSVP yourself, and get instructions on what to bring for the pot-luck-style lunch in the official forum thread. This is very much a family-friendly event, so plan on bringing whoever you wish.
My next task is to figure out what fancy bits of PC hardware I can stuff into a suitcase in order to give away as prizes. Hmmm. Surely something good.
