Apple will hold its next major event on September 9

— 12:30 PM on August 27, 2015

Right on the heels of a juicy rumor about the camera in the presumed iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Apple has revealed the date and time for its next major event. The company will be hosting some kind of presentation at 10 AM PT on September 9. The Verge's invitation indicates the event will be held at the 7,000-seat Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

New iPhones are widely expected to be revealed at this event, though MacRumors says we may also see a new Apple TV. The date (9/9/2015, get it?) seems to hint that iOS 9 will get an official release date, as could watchOS 2, the first major software update for the Apple Watch. We'll keep an eye on Apple's event stream when it goes live on September 9.
