Intel is prepping a 533MHz front side bus for its P4 processor, EBNews reports. Matched with either RDRAM or DDR SDRAM, this faster bus will give Intel another weapon in the performance war with AMD. Unfortunately, the article reports, despite rumours hinting otherwise, the the Brookdale DDR platform won't hit shelves until Q1 2002. Thanks to TR reader Steven C. Den Beste for the tip.
