2013's Tomb Raider was arguably one of the few reboots actually done right, and the new story of Lara Croft will continue in Rise of the Tomb Raider, the next title in the series. Crystal Dynamics is again at the helm of development, with Rhianna Pratchett holding the pen.
Microsoft released a new trailer for the game today, titled Descent into Legend. Feast your eyes:
Rise of the Tomb Raider is billed as a "survival action adventure," with Lara Croft raiding the frozen wastes of Siberia in a bid to find the mythical city of Kitezh and its apparent connection to a path to immortality. Siberia's rough terrain and a day-and-night cycle combine to make survival trickier, and Ms. Croft will have to make full use of her crafting abilities and legendary climbing skills.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released for the PC in the first quarter of 2016 after an exclusive release for the Xbox One and 360 on November 10.
