Kingston announced several new products today, two of them designed for enterprise applications. First up is the KC400 solid-state drive, the latest addition to the SSDNow family. Like all SSDs, the KC400 is much faster than mechanical storage, but Kingston emphasizes reliability more than raw speed for this drive. It features what the company calls end-to-end path protection, and SmartRefresh technology purports to limit read errors. Kingston also claims that the drive is able to recover from unexpected loss of power.

The KC400 is run by a Phison PS3110-S10 8-channel controller, and is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities. Kingston backs up its product with a limited five year warranty. It's available now, and you can pick up the 1TB model for $619.00.

Next in line is the DataTraveler 2000, a USB flash drive that provides hardware encryption. Users gain access to the drive through an onboard alphanumeric keyboard. The drive automatically locks when it's removed from a host device, and will delete the encryption key and password after ten failed login attempts. The DataTraveler will be available in the next few months in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities.

Finally, Kingston updated its MobileLite Wireless products. These devices are designed to recharge your mobile device and provide access to extra storage. The Wireless G3 comes with a 5,400 mAh battery, and has a USB port and SD slot that users can access wirelessly. The Wireless Pro model has a 6,700 mAh battery for device charging and 64GB of storage in addition to the USB port, Ethernet port, and SD slot. Both models work with tablets and phones, although your device will need to be running iOS 8 or later, Android 4.1 or later, or Amazon's Fire OS 4.0 or later. Kingston says that both models will be available for preorder on Amazon.com soon.
