Nvidia's GTX 1080 cooler may have leaked on Chinese social media

Things are already a little smoky in the TR newsroom lately with the volume of next-gen graphics card rumors floating around, but we might have to call the fire department this morning. A user on Chinese social media site Baidu Tieba has posted an image that purports to show the reference cooler for Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Behold:

While we're as skeptical as always about leaked images, this cooler looks remarkably consistent with earlier leaks purporting to show the cooler shroud for the GTX 1080 and 1070 (or whatever the name of Nvidia's next-gen graphics card lineup might be). The angular shroud also shares a design language with the new headquarters complex that Nvidia announced at GTC, so it's not inconceivable that this image is a picture of an authentic cooler. As always, we'll just have to wait and see.
