MSI joins the GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti party

If I had a dime for every GTX 1050 card that I scrutinized today, we wouldn't be here having this conversation. Alas, we must make do with what we have: MSI GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti graphics cards, most dressed in black, some with red accents. MSI has a total of ten cards on offer with GPU overclocks ranging from mild to strong.

The company's "Gaming" cards also include LED lighting and MSI's trademark Twin Frozr VI cooling setup, which TR has historically found to be quite effective for keeping GPU temperatures tame with little noise. Without further ado, let's see what MSI brings to the table.

GeForce GTX 1050

Card Base clock (MHz) Boost clock (MHz) Cooler
GTX 1050 2G 1354 1455 Single-fan
GTX 1050 2G OC 1404 1518 Single-fan
GTX 1050 2GT OC 1404 1518 Dual-fan
GTX 1050 Gaming 2G 1379 1493 Twin Frozr VI
GTX 1050 Gaming X 2G 1442 1556 Twin Frozr VI

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Card Base clock (MHz) Boost clock (MHz) Cooler
GTX 1050 Ti 4G 1290 1392 Single-fan
GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC 1341 1455 Single-fan
GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC 1341 1455 Dual-fan
GTX 1050 Ti Gaming 4G 1316 1430 Twin Frozr VI
GTX 1050 Ti Gaming X 4G 1379 1493 Twin Frozr VI

Much like the rest of the graphics card manufacturers, MSI offered no information on pricing. If history is any indication, though, we don't expect the company's offerings to go for a large premium over Nvidia's recommended price of $110 for the GTX 1050 and $140 for the GTX 1050 Ti.
