The hairy truth about desktop SMP

Kyle over at the cold, HardOCP has put together a very informative review of MSI's AMD 760MPX motherboard. Boards like this one have been highly anticipated for their ability to bring affordable, Athlon-based SMP to the desktop. They manage to do that, but it ain't all roses. Kyle demonstrates the current state of desktop duallies, warts and all. Is SMP's creamy smoothness worth the extra effort in this day of amazing single-CPU power? Hard to say.
