New poll: High card or two pair?

— 10:27 PM on March 3, 2002

Monday brings with it a new poll, but let's take a look at last week's results first. When it comes to the cause of instability in new PC hardware, 53% of voters feel chipset manufacturers are to blame. In distant second and third places we have motherboard manufacturers with 23%, and peripheral manufacturers with 20% of your votes. CPU and memory manufacturers managed only 3% and 2% of the blame, respectively.

This week, we're giving you a choice between two processor platforms: dual Durons, or a single Athlon XP.

Which would you rather have?
For those craving specifics, we've selected individual processors so that the price of each option is relatively equal. So, are you more seduced by the buttery smoothness of SMP or single-threaded performance goodness? Go vote!
