Shuttle's Pentium 4 cube PC reviewed

— 10:49 PM on March 19, 2002

The guys over at VIAHardware have gotten their hands on a very sweet piece of non-VIA hardware: Shuttle's SS50 barebones system. The SS50 is the successor to Shuttle's SV24, which we reviewed a while back. This box brings cube PCs nearly up to speed with standard-sized desktop systems. This puppy will house a Pentium 4 up to 2.2GHz and beyond. With its integrated SiS 315 graphics and DDR memory, there's no need to go hunting for a PCI GeForce2 MX, either. Very sweet.

Up next: the SS40, with support for Athlon and Duron processors.
