Early E3 coverage and Serial ATA news

— 6:22 AM on May 24, 2002

AMDZone's Thursday E3 coverage takes a look at AMD, Matrox, and NVIDIA. There are no Gary Coleman pictures, but people waiting for NVIDIA's nForce 620-D and 615-D chipsets may be disappointed.

The Iwill P4ES features the world's first onboard Serial ATA controller. It gets better—X-bit labs also has information about when to expect Serial ATA hard drives. Of course, it may be comforting for die-hard SCSI users to hear that Fujitsu has just announced a 147GB Ultra 320 SCSI drive.
