NVIDIA and ATI news update

— 1:30 PM on June 8, 2002

The Inquirer is reporting that NVIDIA's NV30 will most likely be delayed. ATI seems good-to-go with its next generation part, and 3DCenter has the specs to the R300 and RV250 in English. In the meantime, Tom's Hardware Guide chimes in with some benchmarks of Gigabyte's Radeon 8500XT as part of its Computex coverage. By the way, PC Web has a shot of the IMAGEON 100, ATI's first foray into the PDA market. It combines a 2D graphics engine with an MPEG4 decoder that will display in 320 X 240. Power consumption is said to be in the 22 - 25mW range.
