Case modding 101

— 6:38 AM on July 25, 2002

Once considered a hobby for people with too much time on their hands, case modding has really begun to explode. With CompUSA selling cases with open windows and Hypersonic PC offering pre-built systems equipped with customized cases, there can be little doubt that we live in a post-iMac age. Beige is out, and chic is in—it seems. Tom's Hardware Guide rides this fashion trend with an article on customizing your case and achieving professional results. It's a long read, but make sure you check out the AMD / Pyrinex / Ultra Unreal system on this page. THG also includes a primer on installing a case window.

Tip: You can use the A/Z keys to walk threads.
