Judge not, lest ye be posted on the 'net
Salon.com has an interesting article about a fight going down between federal judges and APBnews.com. APBnews wants to publish the judges' financial disclosure statements, but the judges are blocking it on the grounds that it's a security risk.
The judges' reaction is a bit strange, considering the disclosure statements are freely available offline, and don't contain the judge's addresses or other identifying information. Not so much strange as downright disturbing is that according to the article, federal judges have presided over lawsuits in which they owned stock in the company being sued. In case you're wondering, that sensation you're feeling right now is your skin crawling.
